Survivors and the Interplay of Exploitation with Learning Disabilities

Co-hosted with the Snowdrop Project, this online forum will investigate the under-explored correlation between learning disabilities and Modern Slavery.

Learn more about the challenges that practitioners and survivors with learning disabilities face from experiences of navigating the NRM and asylum systems, not receiving additional support in interviews, issues surrounding undiagnosed learning disabilities and the absence of guidance for frontline staff in this area.

Speakers will also discuss recommendations on how the Anti-Trafficking sector can better support survivors with diagnosed and undiagnosed cognitive impairments and examine areas of policy change that could make it easier for survivors of trafficking with learning disabilities to access services. We hope this event will help spotlight these concerns and lead to tangible improvements for service users.
