Young Trafficking Survivor Tells Her Story to Help Others

In Mexico, Karla Jacinto spent four years under the control of a Mexican pimp in Guadalajara.

She was befriended by the young man with a flashy car while she waited at a subway station for a friend.  She lived with him for several months and was treated well at first.  Then he forced her into sex work when she was only 12 years old.  At 15 she became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter; at 16 she was rescued during an anti-trafficking sting.  Now at 23, she is telling her story which has been verified to help other survivors.
