The Barriers to Accessing Work and Education for Modern Slavery Survivors

Join our panel Adult Educator Jane Williamson, The Sophie Hayes Foundation and Kalayaan to discuss how, in order for survivors of modern slavery to recover from their exploitation, they must be provided with meaningful options to develop autonomy through both work and education.

This online forum follows the Access to Work Coalition’s report ‘Access to Work for Survivors of Slavery to Enable Independence and Sustainable Freedom’ which examines the damage caused by restricting survivors’ right to work and proposes reforms to the National Referral Mechanism to permit survivors to work while in the system .
