Slavery Isn’t the Answer to Thailand’s Poor Economy

Thailand’s economy is suffering far more than other Asian countries, and there’s really not much hope for recovery…

Thailand is being monitored closely by global watchdogs regarding human abuses, especially in its fishing industry.  Europe can flex it’s strong muscle to show Thailand that its poor practices are simply creating a false solution that is doomed for even more failure.   Recently, the World Bank said that Thailand is the “worst performing economy in Asean”. Additionally, the country’s tourism business is troubled even more due to the deadly attack in Bangkok this past August.  Thailand’s central bank has reduced it’s economic forecasts this year three times.
