The global fishing industry is not only stripping our environment, it is abusing workers too…

Many are aware of the adverse environmental effects, but what about the effects on humans–abuse by low to no pay, control through fear, false promises, coercion, etc.  The US and Environmental Justice Foundation–EJF–estimates that 90+ percent of all workers on Thai boats are illegal migrant workers from Cambodia and Burma and many are treated as slave labor.
