Time to Get Off the Fence on Sex Workers’ Rights

Join us on Thursday 19th August at 5pm BST for a live panel discussion and q&a on why and how anti-trafficking organisations must get off the fence on sex workers’ rights and support them.

There are a substantial number of anti-trafficking organisations that opt to avoid taking a stance on this issue, trying to remain ‘neutral’, especially in the UK. This live event is part of a new feature exploring the logics and pitfalls of this approach, showcasing articles and interviews with leading anti-traffickers who have got off the fence and sex worker activists.

Panellists:
* Charlotte Lee, spokesperson for the English Collective of Prostitutes
* Joanna Ewart-James, Executive Director of Freedom United
* Amina du Jean, sex worker activist, writer and influencer
* Jean Bruggeman, Executive Director, Freedom Network USA
