Freedom United is the new name for the anti-slavery organization formerly known as WalkFree.org. Audacity Factory, a USA-based collaborative, took over leadership of the organization from the Australia-based Minderoo Foundation in 2016. After listening to our community of 8 million supporters, we realized a new brand and website was needed to expand our efforts and take our mission to the next level.
Modern slavery may go by many names, but that doesn’t change what it is. In the same way, we may be using a different name, but our mission to end slavery with a united movement or partners and supporters remains the same.
Freedom United is interested in hearing from our community and welcomes relevant, informed comments, advice, and insights that advance the conversation around our campaigns and advocacy. We value inclusivity and respect within our community. To be approved, your comments should be civil.
A few things we do not tolerate: comments that promote discrimination, prejudice, racism, or xenophobia, as well as personal attacks or profanity. We screen submissions in order to create a space where the entire Freedom United community feels safe to express and exchange thoughtful opinions.
