Miriam Karmali

Advocacy Manager

Miriam joined the team in 2017 and now as Advocacy Manager, coordinates our campaign content for our community whilst leading successful advocacy efforts on a range of global modern slavery issues.  After completing her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Politics at the University of Bath, she volunteered with the Afghanistan and Central Asian Association (ACAA) and the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) in London.  In those roles, she worked in communications and research to advance human rights and gender equality. While spending time in Chile, Miriam gathered data for her dissertation on International Human Rights which ultimately moved her to pursue a position with Freedom United. Miriam holds an MA in Human Rights from the University of London.
