DESCRIPTION:“This training will provide an insight into the prevalence\, theory and history behind victim blaming and how this relates to the children and young people that we work with that are at risk of exploitation. \nAttendees will learn about the impact that victim blaming can have on those that we work with\, and how to ensure our practice reflects and acknowledges that children and young people are victims and not responsible for any harm that they may have experienced. \nThe learning outcomes are to: \n\nUnderstand what Victim Blaming is\nExplore the history\, theory and psychology behind Victim Blaming\, and\nUnderstand the impact Victim Blaming has on young people who go missing/have been exploited.\n\nThere is no charge for attending this event but we ask that you complete an evaluation to help us continue to improve the training we offer.”
