SUMMARY:Launch Event: SIFA Fireside Adult Modern Slavery Pathway
DESCRIPTION:“Join us as we launch the SIFA Fireside Adult Modern Slavery Pathway – the result of a year-long collaboration between SIFA Fireside Adult Support Hub\, the West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network\, and Birmingham City Council. \nIn response to a growing understanding of the relationship between homelessness and modern slavery\, and increasing numbers of exploitation concerns in their client base\, the SIFA Fireside Adult Support Hub (the central hub for homeless and vulnerably housed adults in Birmingham) embarked on an innovative piece of partnership work in January 2021 with the West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network and Birmingham City Council. \nThe result is a robust pathway for homeless adults experiencing exploitation\, and the first modern slavery ‘front door’ in Birmingham for adults – leading the way in the city’s approach to modern slavery.
