My world, my future: lessons from this generation of young leaders
Are girls left behind? Join us for lessons from this generation of young leaders on child marriage and the response to the pandemic.
The global impact of COVID-19 has presented serious threats to progress on girls’ rights. Girls are among the most disproportionately affected by the unprecedented pandemic, from dropping out of school to increased rates of child marriages and violence at home. And yet this generation of leaders are at the forefront of responding to the needs of their communities during this crisis. So in this moment, we hear and learn from girls and young people the best ways that civil society, government representatives, donors, and INGOs can accelerate progress in securing their rights.
Please join us for My world, my future: Lessons from this generation of young leaders, a virtual event hosted by Ford Foundation and Girls Not Brides. We’ll hear from this generation of leaders on their first-hand experiences, their strategies to stimulate lasting change for millions of girls around the world, and how we can come together and follow their lead to build a just and equitable future where every girl can speak out and fulfill her potential.
CART (live-captioning) in English and Audio Translation in Spanish, French, and Hindi will be available during the event.
